I am a molecular biologist who lives to travel, explore, and photograph the beautiful and diverse American West. My husband and I enjoy almost anything that gets us outside, especially hiking, fishing and escaping into the beautiful mountains of Idaho. I also enjoying taking photos of family, friends, and animals (especially my two fluffy ragdoll cats).

I consider myself a lover of the outdoors with a passion for capturing the beauty of the places I explore thru photos. I make no claims at being a great photographer. For me, photography is more about the journey than anything. I try to do the best I can in a reasonable amount of time, but I freely admit that I'd rather cover an extra mile or two of road or trail than sacrifice too much time for the perfect photo. Frequently, my favorite photos aren't necessarily my best photos- rather they are the best memories. If my photostream views like a travel blog then I have succeeded.

I have been posting to Flickr since 2009 and I love that it gives me the opportunity to meet and chat with people from across the country and the world
