Thanks for visiting. My passion for photography began in the 6th grade with a Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic and a make-shift dark room on our third floor. Nearly 40 years later, I am still a student, enjoying the journey of creating and improving images. While I am proud of all the photos posted on this site, I am grateful to those who offer their critical comments and suggestions. It is those thoughts and feedback that are the most valuable milestones along the way.

Jonathan Lurie is a Chicago-based marketing executive and photographer whose work has been published by the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Sun-Times, The Chicago Reader, Pioneer Press Publications, Baltimore Magazine; numerous Web sites including: Wikipedia, WBEZ, Chi-Town Daily News, the Chicagoist; several books; and on the cover of El Paisano recording artist, Owen Temple's CD, Dollars and Dimes. Recently, his photo "Blue Heron Introspective" earned second runner up in the Chicago Botanic Garden inaugural digital photo contest. Lurie divides his photographic passion between Chicago and Cape Cod, which are "incredibly different, but equally inspiring."
