I'm a work-at-home mother of a preschooler, obsessed with cooking and "building a better bento." I lived in Japan for nine years and am fluent in Japanese, but I'm into all cuisines. I've started working my way through the time-saving lunch packing tips in Japanese-language magazines and cookbooks, tweaking them for an international kitchen, and documenting them on my Lunch in a Box "speed bento" lunch blog at lunchinabox.net.
