Howdy. We're Lucy and Wally. We're getting married. Hence the logon name. We're guessing if you're here, it's because you know one of us, and may have even been lucky enough to snag an invite to what's sure to be the bestest wedding of 2010 (that's taking place in Journal Square....between a white dude and an Asian gal...on the fifteenth of May).

Ever been to a wedding where there's a disposable camera sitting on each table for guests to take their own photos? Hard to believe that's old school already. But in these digital days with five megapixel camera-phones, those cardboard-covered plastic-shelled single use cameras might as well be a camera obscura. And even though we're the nostalgic types, we're also technophiles.

So we thought--what better way to embrace our modern wedding than with some new school virtual community building? These days, everyone's an amateur photographer, and the world wide intertube's home for amateur photography is a little website that yahoo! likes to call flickr. So we went ahead and created a new account (and sprung to upgrade it to a pro account), and we're inviting all of you to bring your cameras, upload your pictures, and view others' pictures. Heck, if you've got one them fancy smartphones, you can even share during the wedding. And you can also upload videos, so if you've got one of those flip things, bring that too.

We're making it easy (we hope). You can upload a bunch of different ways. The good folks at flickr are probably better than we are at telling you all about your options. You can log into flickr (see account info below) and upload their nifty web control, you can use a desktop uploader, or you can email your photos (again, see below for the email address). And if you've already got a flickr or a yahoo account, then make sure to add our wedding account as a contact so you can see all the new pictures (we'll be setting them all to private, shared with friends, as a default).

We'll share all the logins and passwords on our wedding website, and if you forget that URL or password, we'll make sure it's well publicized at the wedding.

By the way, while you're here, feel free to check out our personal flickr pages, which are chock full of pictures of our adventures together (and if you're not one of our "friends", ask to be since all our pictures of humans and canines are fiercely restricted to friends only).
