Richard (luciferscage) has been taking photographs since, when at the ripe old age of 8, his parents shoved a Kodak Box Brownie into his hands when he was going on a trip with the cub scouts. Since that wet, cold and miserable introduction to roll film photography Richard has progressed through 35mm compacts and SLR cameras, developing black and white negatives and film in kitchens, church boiler rooms, and back bedrooms, until reaching the heady heights of modern digital photography.

Now equipped with a Nikon DSLR and a number of lenses, Richard still spends wet, cold and miserable days taking photographs; it’s addictive.

Work mainly encompasses urban scenes and landscapes from around Rochester and the Medway Towns in North Kent, seascapes from the Kent coastline with its desolate regions such as Dungeness and the Isle of Grain, and architecture from derelict fishermen’s huts, old warehouses and theatres, to the high rise offices of the City of London.

Please note: I hold the full copyright to all my photographs. If there is an image you wish to use in some way then please feel free to get in touch providing details of proposed use, who the user is etc. While I take photographs as a hobby this does not mean that I necessarily provide photographs on a charity basis, i.e. I might charge for the use of a shot - it'll still be probably cheaper than getting a pro out to do the job.
