Thanks for stopping by. My name is Len Saltiel and I am an enthusiast photographer. I learned photography on a GAF film camera in the early eighties. I moved up to Minolta film cameras in the late eighties. Work, family and money forced a hiatus from photography for about 14 years.

I got back into photography when Nikon introduced the D100. It was my first endeavor into digital photography. I moved up to the D200 and just recently purchased the D700 (back to full frame!!) and a D300s.

Since my early retirement, I have spent considerable time attempting to improve my photographic skills. The one thing that remains constant is that no matter what you know, there is always something new to learn. This is especially true with photography.

My photographs are mainly landscapes and cityscapes. I have a backlog of thousands of photos from my recent trips to California, Colorado, Utah and Europe. Not sure when I will get a chance to edit them all, but watch for them.

Three Ansel Adams quotes that resonate with me (in no way am I comparing my photos with his):

"There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs."

"Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer and often the supreme disappointment."

To the complaint that there are no people in his photographs, Ansel responded, "There are always two people: the photographer and the viewer."
