The photo's in my collections here are from my trips around the country while traveling for work and the things captured when I'm close to home. (The map below shows the states I can remember, for sure, staying for at least a night... even if it's been long enough my memory is a bit of a blur)

I love the chance to learn from others... be it lighting, angles, preferences for media, suggestions in photoshop, whatever. I absorb what I can, when I can, and spend the rest of my time experimenting and learning on my own. It may not have shown itself to be in the cards yet... but I'd love to be a portrait/people photographer some day... but for now, I'm working on trying to build a portfolio and pick up small bits of business when I can on the side. In the mean time, by all means, I'm open to your critiques and suggestions. I may or may not agree, but I don't believe you learn anything if everyone is silent and no one disagrees with your perspective.

My current camera is a Canon 7D with lenses including a 28-135mm, a 70-200 F/2.8 L, a 35mm prime, a 17-50mm, and 10-22mm. Since I very much believe in it being the photographer, not the camera (in most cases) that makes a good picture, I'm happy to use anything I can get my hands on... be it a point and shoot, a camera phone, or a film/digital SLR.

I try and post one picture a day of something I like or found interesting (but I'm not always very good at it), noted with a comment about my thoughts, motivation, artistic goals, feelings, situation, actions, or any combination of the above. Feel free to come back often to see my latest.
