I have been a professional pet photographer for over 17 years. My photos have appeared in numerous magazines and calendars... placing my clients on seamless white backgrounds was my specialty!
I managed mini labs for 17 years and developed my pictures the "old fashioned" way! I also ran Noritsu machines; calibrating them for color, mixing chemistry, and all other phases of maintenence.

The art of digital photography is a new venture for me! It is so different from what I have been used to ...I am currently in the process of revamping my whole way of thinking!!!
I am striving for a new "look" in my pet photography...
BTW i do not use any photoshop on my pictures....respect the process, but don't have the time to figure it out! I am still so used to my 35mm days where you have to get a good shot without a "preview" button! Most of my photography is already cropped and "fixed" when I press the shutter button!

the set of photos from 1989-2002 are taken with my favorite camera Minolta 7000i or my Nikon standby.
There is no editing on any of them.

I currently use a Leica V-lux 1 camera AND a Leica D-lux 4 titanium camera. Both are beauties. I also have and love my Sony Cybershot with a Carl Zeiss lens.

natural lighting is my current love when paired with digital photography.


A pet photo session usually takes about 45 minutes (including set up and break down time) and I take as little as 12 photos or as many as 40. pets can't last more then that without panting and becoming restless!

I am a doggie hair stylist here in NJ. I own "Louie's Bath House...on wheels!" a thriving mobile dog grooming/photography business combining both talents!


I am also a budding pinhole enthusiast! Since having purchased a Zero 2000 wooden lens-less camera I am really enjoying this new "old" venture!
