Long Kuan as one of the most active animal advocates and environmentalists among Chinese artists today has always been an animal lover. She has 4 animal companions herself and has been a vegetarian for 10 years.

Realizing the urgency of global warming, in 2008 Long Kuan started promoting vegetarianism as a practical solution to prevent climate change. This effort to raise public awareness was achieved through her personal effort along with the help of her like-minded celebrity friends as well as her supportive team from the biggest record company in China, Taihe Rye Music Co., Ltd.

In 2008 she launched the LOHAS campaign with her record company and has been spreading the virtues of a plant based diet to lower greenhouse gas emissions. In a sincere effort to emphasize the correlation between animal agriculture and environmental degradation, she cites UN FAO’s Livestock’s Long Shadow report and the latest scientific facts about global warming on almost all the TV, Radio, magazine and website interviews she is invited to participate in.

Most of her music fans who are between the ages of 10 and 35, love her not only for her unique style of music but also for her loyalty in always telling the truth. She is now known as the LOHAS Queen who represents lifestyle of health and sustainability. Her care for the world, the vulnerable and her independency have made her an idol for the Chinese youth.

Long Kuan is currently living and working in Beijing, the capital city of China. Today Beijing has a fast-growing vegetarian population, more than 90 vegetarian restaurants and many environmental groups. It is also the center of the media and the entertainment business.

1999

Formed band “MikaBomb” in London, UK released album “the fake fake sound of MikaBomb”

2001

Joined Dutch band “Arling & Cameron” Tour in Europe, promoting album “We Are A&C”

2004

Released first solo album in China, “We love tricky music”, sold over 100,000 copies

2005
