I began making jewelry when I was 15, but three years ago it became a full-immersion experience. I listen to the beads, and they tell me where they want to go. And in the village where I live, it is so quiet that I can hear what they are saying. My creations are the result of this process, as much a product of my hands and mind, as of the unique character and aesthetics of the beads themselves, a multicoloured conversation in the quietude of the desert.
