...all those moments will be lost, in time, like tears in rain... Blade Runner

It has been 5 years since Flickr got me hooked, a borrowed Canon Rebel introduced me to the world of SLR, which lead to a Nikon D200, then one lens, then another...

Perhaps this is some kind of mid-life crisis? As a teen, I could not afford to take on photography as a hobby. Equipment, film, and lab costs were not within the budget of my allowance. 20+ years later, thanks to digital and solid-state technology, I can actually afford this new found passion, keep on taking bad shots so I may get a good shot.

I have not taken any photography classes to date, what I know about photography is mostly from other Flickr members and the internet. My knowledge about digital photography technology is derived from my work with a company that does product development of digital video cameras. I maintain a day job as a product manager with a popular consumer electronics company, but I have been accepting photography projects for the last year.

Soapbox:
While I do not make a living as a photographer, please do not use my work without asking for permission first. I have given the Creative Commons thing a chance, but instead I found many people using my work without asking. Some have used my work for business, while others have modified them with cheap photoshop effects, which I do not appreciate.

My photos are not to be reproduced or used in any way without my permission

"Vincent, it's such an honor for me to be the first person to write a testimonial for you:) I'm pretty sure there will be more to come soon. First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for your support when I was in Nicaragua for your generous donations to the kids. Secondly, I want to thank you for being such an inspiration by sharing your comments and opinions with me in regards to my work. I value your comments greatly. Last, but not least, I love your photos. I love how you are not afraid to take photos that suits your fancy. I especially love your lotus and flower shots and please keep on clicking and as always, thank you for sharing your work with everyone!"
