I am a simple photographer who enjoys many different settings and subjects. I range from photographing children and people in general, to nature through landscapes and macros of flora and fauna. I also love to take pictures that tell stories so you will often see a documentary type styling to my photography. I have plenty of growing to do and intend to continue in that pursuit until I breathe my last breath.

Other Thoughts:

I know that my Favorites are a small collection, as are the number of my Contacts, but there are good reasons.

I only Favorite images that I consider exceptionally good, so the list may not be as long as other's. Do not be fooled though, I see many, many very wonderful works each and every day, and I enjoy and appreciate them all. I just want to be able to open up my Favorites list and not have to page through several pages to find what I am looking for. Each favorite of mine has a meaning and a purpose. My thanks goes out to those who are on that list.

I also keep a smaller list of Contacts because I value each of their works. I want to be able to view and comment on their latest accomplishments, and really give them the attention they are due. In order to do this, I have to keep a smaller list. If I have listed you as a Contact it means that I truly appreciate your work and am enjoying it, as well as learning from it. If you are not a Contact, I may still be frequenting your stream when I have the opportunity.

"To paraphrase Forrest Gump - La Donna's photography is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. :-) One day it's a beautiful nature shot. The next day it's a wonderful picture of a child just being a child, having fun without a care in the world. Then she'll mix it up with something totally artistic or abstract. And the cool thing is they are all fantastic pictures. La Donna is a wonderfully creative, talented, diverse, and versatile photographer.

But more important than her skill as a photographer is the wonderful person she is. You can tell from her comments on her portraits that she genuinely cares about people. She's always present in the photostreams of her contacts leaving positive feedback and encouraging words. She has a wonderful sense of humor, and is just a joy to know. She quickly became one of my favorite people on Flickr, and even though we've never met, I consider her my friend.

La Donna is a tremendous asset to Flickr, and if you don't know her, you owe it to yourself to check out her photostream and "meet" her."

"When sitting down for some hardcore Flickring, Laddies 'stream is often one of my first stops. The main reason is that I never really know what I'll find there. It's kind of like opening a magic box because one day there will be some awesome wildlife shots and the next will be a poignant shot of a small child. It's just fun to see what will show up next.

Laddie's technical expertise is also very solid making everything in her 'stream a pleasure to observe. You just won't find a bad shot in it anywhere. The big problem is trying to figure out the difference between what's good and what's spectacular.

I can always count on Laddie to weigh with encouragement, advice, and information. She's one of my most valued resources for the identification of something that I've shot. I can't tell you the number of times she's helped me out with this.

Finally, Laddie's personality is a ray of sunshine on my day. Her sense of humor and playful comments are always welcome. She's just a sweetheart."
