I'm a brown-shouldered mama living on a vegetable farm in Virginia with my fella and my son and my dog (also a cat and three goats and a ragtag flock of chickens and, most recently, ten pigs and another 500 chickens). We work hard and play hard and our fridge is truly an embarrassment of riches.

I moved down here from my beloved New York City more than five years ago now. I miss working with families.

As I look for more ways to invite both my city mouse and country mouse selves to the table, I take a lot of pictures. My dear friend Lindsey once called me "curiously blogless." This is as close as I'm like to get for now. I held onto that for a long time but now I do write over at our farm blog and also at this new project about kitchens and family.
