I strive to capture subjects candidly in their unique position in time. I do not have a particular message and prefer to leave any interpretation to the viewer- I believe artwork is the most advantageous when its audience is able to observe it without the ideas of the artist being imposed. I love to take photographs of people but I became obsessed with taking pictures of buildings and storefronts when I realized most everything I loved in New York City was being destroyed and replaced with something far less wonderful.
