Linda L. Anderson is an American painter, printmaker, and mixed-media collage artist who currently lives in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.
Landscape forms a major componant of Linda's art. In her more recent series of works, she focuses on layered relationships of imagery, textures, and orchestrations of color. Layering is a key aspect of her art and her creative processes.
In her manner of composition, the artist often juxtaposes complementary views. This is to achieve dynamic harmony while allowing for the emergence of new relationships within new contexts. Linda's works on canvas often suggest recently juxtaposed pages that were previously torn from books. Additionally, Linda, who is also an active poet, is interested in the book as an art form in its own right.
