I'm an under-employed sociology PhD who, when not searching for additional work or walking my two peppy terriers, makes wacky papier-mache bird sculptures to sell on etsy.com. I'm the egghead of an artistic family who only just recently discovered that I, too, could make nice-looking things. I haven't given up on sociology, but these days am happiest working in the visual-tactile realm. Life continuously surprises.
