As a kid I started clicking with film point and shoot and then left it due to the cost involved.
I still remember trying to shoot pictures of setting sun, not one picture was worth it :-)
Currently I use Olympus 4/3 system, found it to be the cheapest option to start with.

Equipment:
Olympus E520 (Nice big grip)
Kit lenses(14-42,40-150), nice sharp budget lenses.
35mm/f3.5 macro, cant use it on anything alive!.
70-300mm/f4-5.6 (Cheap, absolute terror to auto-focus on flying birds, too soft at 300mm)


Old manual focus lens's:
OM 50mm/f1.8 (lovely bokeh at throw away price)
OM 50mm/f3.5 macro
Panagor 90mm/f2.8 macro (incredible DOF control)

I simply love these manual focus lenses, somewhere digital revolution is taking us for a ride!
