"I belive every artist has a mind of his own and it is through his creativity, his thoughts and mentality is conveyed.
A photographer also is an artist.
I find all artists immensly interesting becuase they are all innovative, creative and thye can think out of the box. this is one aspect which attracts me towards a person. since you are also a photographer which means you are an artist which means you are immensly interesting becuase you are creative, innovative, original and can think out of the box. People like this are, in my opinion, very intelectual.
Apart from being a good photographer, you also have a great sense of humour which reflects through your photography. And you know what!!! Humour and creativity is a deadly mix :-)
I see the wild colours in your photos which makes me look at your photos for more than 1 minute (given my concentration span and that I get bored easily) and I keep coming back to the pictures.
Your idea of capturing people is great. All the pictures tell a story. One can run his imagination wild by looking at your pictures becuase they all have something to speak.
Your pictures have an identity of thier own.
The pictures like the lisbon photo of pigeons nad water reflection, thye end up looking like suvenier postcards. :-) which again is something , not everyone can capture.
you have the eye to see and appreciate beauty, you have the intelligence to understand and comprehend the complexity of colours, hues and light and its plays. you have natural ability to imagine and that's what gets captured, your imagination and the beautiful mind that works behind it.
the cauliflower vendor photo, or the man playing that intrument infront of that doll, or that photo of old, blind man sitting and thinking something, thye all have a story behind, which i can relate to and may be thats where i have connected with your photos becuase i feel you also think of thier story which u see in thier eyes and face which u can understand and then try to narrate through your camera. you can read the story in your mind and the audience can read it through your photos. i love it, i simply love your photos.
and yes, as Danny, rightly said, you inspire many pple, pple who are not even fond of photography can get inspired just by looking at your photos and hear you talk about it.
i want you to go wild with your camera, becuase behind that lense is a wild heart which sees many things which is yet to be captured.
i can see a different world through your pictures, you have given me a diffrent eye and vision through your creativity.
P.S. Serious Spell Check required but the thoughts are honest :-)"1st October, 2007
