What can I say? I've never had any real photography training, nor any training in image editing. Photography is just something I do for fun in my very limited spare time. It's definitely been a steep learning curve for me, but the results have been worth it.

All the pics you see on Flickr were shot within the past 24 months, which is when I more or less got started shooting people.

A few random photos of mine

Here's where I've been:

30 Countries (15%), not counting Kuwait, Jordan, Russia (I had short stop-overs in these)

Here are the states I've visited:

48 states (96%), not counting Alaska though I've been twice to Anchorage on short stops

"Wow, great depth in your pics....all of your subjects are simply amazing...great legs for sure!!! You truly do a fantastic job capturing feminine beauty. The color and quality of your work is some of the best on Flickr if not some of the best on the net. I look forward to see your future work and admiring your existing work again and again. Please keep up the good work. Have a great day.

"I've gotten to develop somewhat of a friendship with Lightscapes. Since I expressed an interest in model photography, he has provided invaluable critique and encouragement to me as I have sought to improve my photography skills.

The first thing that drew me to his work is the consistency and quality of his photographs and his models. I was amazed to learn that he is basically a self-taught amateur. That gave me some hope. Then there the respect he has for his models that comes through as he writes stories and puts the scenes into context.

Having observed his posts and read his prose for several months, it's no wonder to me that Lightscapes is able to pick and choose among the best and most beautiful models in the Toronto area and beyond."

"Lightscapes captures unique emotions in his portraits, and always has fresh ideas, making him one of the best fashion photographers on Flickr. And unlike some who keep their techniques in obscurity Lightscapes tells how he did a certain photo, and always has a entertaining story to tell. Keep up the great work!"
