The fact that I show my images online doesn't have anything to do with the fact that I do not allow people to use them for personal screensavers and/or wallpapers. Should you wish to obtain a picture be prepared to pay a fee, for I am not in the habit of giving my work away. If you are not willing to pay, then I cannot allow you to use my photographs. My work does NOT fall under any Creative Commons License, and is fully copyrighted and therefore I reserve the right to refuse anyone the use of my photos.

Bio

Hilde Bakering-Pilkington, born in Groningen, the Netherlands, has always been interested in photography, and since the tender age of 6 she could be found snapping pictures of everything and everyone around her. She grew up in Leek, 10 miles from her birthplace and after her studies in tourism, Hilde decided it was time to broaden her horizons. She lived in several countries, among which the United Kingdom and the United States.

Before she moved to the UK, Hilde could be found taking photos in nature reserves like the Fochteloerveen and the Norgerholt, in the Netherlands, as well as the zoo in Emmen, the Netherlands. Her love for nature speaks through most of her photographs - Hilde's main interest is photographing flowers (macro) and animals.

Nowadays, you may also find her in botanical gardens and nurseries, nature reserves, the city of Nottingham etc.
