I am from and I live in Dublin city centre and have lots of interests including sport, music and current affairs.
I have been a semi professional photographer for over fifteen years and have been published in most of the Irish national newspapers as well as trades union, music, sports and community publications.
I showed my first exhibition,' Images of Resistance' in February 2004. I will be in Washington next March to document the 5th anniversary anti war demonstrations. Some of this work will be part of my exhibition, 'images of Resistance' that I am planning on showing in New York. I hope to show it in the weeks leading up to the presidential election. The images date back to 2001 and are the efforts of four very dedicated photographers, the results of a lot of time, effort and expense travelling to seven countries.
We update the work regularly and some of the images in my www.flickr.com/photos/libertypix account will be part of the exhibition . I am in contact with people in Iraq and soldiers serving or who have served there and in Afghanistan and trying to get some reality war images into the exhibition.

At the moment I am trying to get a gallery, but the commission rates are very high. I want to keep costs to a minimum as we plan to donate any profits to one of the army veterans/family associations and an Iraqi children's charity.
Maybe you might be able to help me get a place to show this important body of work? Ideally, the venue could be a trade union or community hall in or near New York city, but if you have any suggestions even, they would be more than welcome. I hope to put on a slide show also and have some musicians playing at the launch in NY. I will be writing to the likes of Joan Baez, Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Paul Rovics and I hope to have my son's band Humanzi play there also.
Dennis Halliday, the former UN Assistant Secretary-General and ex UN Humanitarian Co-ordinator for Iraq, has agreed to open the exhibition. He lives six months in NY and six months here in Ireland in his native Galway.

At present my current project is a documentation of the heroin epidemic in Dublin. The heroin images date back to 1995, the year of the founding of the second anti-drugs movement in Dublin.
I plan to exhibit this major work, 'Heroines, Heroes and Heroin' in Dublin in 2010.

I would appreciate it if you would please leave a comment on at least some of the photos here and I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit.
I hope you get some enjoyment/inspiration from my work.

I use Canon 20D camera , Canon 17-55 wide angle, 70-300 zoom and Canon 580EX flashgun.
I started to use digital equipment in November 2004.
