I bought my first digital camera in 2002, a Fuji Finepix 2800 Zoom, a great camera I used for years. I am photographing a little bit more seriously though since October 2006 when I bought a Fuji Finepix S9500. Within weeks I was sold and in March 2007 I bought a Canon EOS 400D.
