I am a writer and photographer who has spent much of the last ten year working with dam affected communities in Africa on the issues of human rights, ecological sustainability and appropriate decision making processes such as the World Commission on Dams, and how to apply this in Africa. The African Rivers Network, the South African Water Caucus, the Environmental Monitoring Group and International Rivers are all key partners with whom I work.

Additionally I have joined the "Live Slowly and SImply Movement" and have given up city living to spend more time in nature. My partner, our dog and I live in a wooden shack in the forest and are surrounded by nature and endless things to photograph.
