Rajani Chand is a Bangalore based Nature lover and Wildlife photographer. Photography has been his love since he was a child. Soon, he became more passionate and serious about it when he relocated to Bangalore for job after his education. He has always been a nature lover and without any doubt Nature and Wildlife are his favorite genres in photography. One would hardly find him shooting other subjects. It happens mostly when there is one of his favorite subjects in the background or foreground! He often forgets the surroundings while shooting and focus only on the subject. He is or may be tries to be a perfectionist. The more he advances in photography the more he becomes lazy with post processing and spend very limited time for it. He uses only Open source code Image processing software like Gimp. The reason behind this is the heavy license fees for Photoshop and similar products and the dislike towards Software piracy.

His growth in photography was gradual - from a Canon fixed focus film camera to a digital compact Sony DSC-P100 and then to a semi-manual model, again from Sony, DSC-H1 and then the first step into serious business - the upgrade to his first DSLR - a Nikon D40x. The next upgrade was very obvious, to a Nikon D300S in Sep 2010. Being a full-time Software employee, Engineering manager at Yahoo, he still manages to dedicate some time for photography though it is relatively very less.
