I am a painter with a great interest in photography, computer graphics and making videos.

For six years I taught art history and art appreciation at community colleges in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I love talking about art history and visiting the great museums.

Even though I have a masters degree in visual art, I am largely self-taught in painting. Painting and drawing are such subconscious processes that I find it difficult to explain to anyone else how I do it. That has been frustrating for people who ask me to give workshops.

I created a Flickr account mainly for online backup of my photos. The site has turned out to be so much more than that. I love looking at images of other people's sketchbooks -endlessly creative, clever, and inspiring.

Looking at other people's vacation photography has given me ideas and inspiration for taking better travel photos.
