Music is the core of my being. Ever since I could remember the sound of music filled my body and soul with a sense of happiness. I was born in southern Cali. I knew I was blessed by the lord to be born here to filter the world through my eyes, and translate into words of soul music. It is truly the one thing that makes me feel complete. Besides all the influences that helped me shape my own style, my family is a big supporter of my career. Everyday my beautiful parents tell me they will always support me and will always be there for me. I love them so much! When I sing I am able to block out every negative thing that might be stressing me and totally zone out. Whether my words are sad, happy, or crazy I sing what I feel deep inside my soul. Growing up I know I made plenty of mistakes, but those mistakes made me realize what I could do for myself and become a better person. I am a person who doesn’t regret the mistakes I've made but look at them as stepping stones to my future. After I graduated High School I didn’t continue to pursue my music career thinking that it wouldn’t go anywhere, also it would take too much time and with the little money I would make it would be hard to support myself. A few years later I realized that music is the only thing that makes me happy, it is why I am here today. I am finally happy with my life because I am living my life how I want to live it and that is through song. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me. Aloha Everyone! My name is Leianna Kai. I’m Hawaiian, Portuguese, Italian, and Irish. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I view myself as a very intellectual individual. Everything I’ve been through in the past 23 years has made me the person that I am today. I can honestly say that I have been through a bit more hard ships than most people. That is why I truly cherish every moment of my life and I definitely believe that everything happens for a reason. I view myself as a very positive person who is always happy. Life is a beautiful thing and each and every one of us should cherish it, because you will never know when it will be over. Sometimes I wonder why people are always so negative, they always complain about one thing or another. My goal everyday is to be able to motivate and inspire someone, to be a better person and live their life to the fullest. Even though things may seem hard to do, you have to just push through it, because in the end the reward and feeling of accomplishment is worth it! Though my life was almost cut short not once but twice, I wanted to give up but I couldn’t. I kept pushing forward and that’s what made me the person I am today. I love my life and everyone that’s in it. Music is an integral part of my life. I wake in the morning and go to sleep listening to music. Singing has been my passion ever since I was very young. LOL I think I was singing before I could even talk. I love singing, because through music it is the easiest way to express my feelings and emotions. Music and I go together like peanut butter and jelly. You can’t have one without the other.
