I grew up in Northwest Arkansas, but now I live in Austin, TX. And if you look at my pictures, you can probably tell that I lived in Washington, DC for a bit.

I'm sort of trying to take that next step in photography but it's difficult getting past a lack of talent. Most of my shots are just walking around and thinking, "oh hey, that looks neat", then taking a picture of "that".

Sometimes I see a photo on flickr (or wherever) that's just got that extra something. It is expertly composed with perfect lighting and perhaps even captures a fleeting but distinct moment in time. Now and then I'll get lucky and maybe get close, but I am envious of people who just seem to make that happen.


I shoot with a Canon EOS 5D and a Canon Digital Rebel XTi (400D).
