I am a 35-yr old professional freelance photographer. I have been photographing most of my life, from the time I got my first camera, it's always been a passion of mine and landscape has always captured my eye.

I studied and practiced finance from 1993-2009 and decided I would rather do something that I love, rather than something that is just for the daily grind. I closed my practice down and picked up my camera, blew the dust off and started building my portfolio.

I am finally doing something that earns me a source of income that I love. Making the move from hobbiest to professional is definitely a transition, but its nice to work in a field that makes you smile when the alarm goes off at 4am!

It's hard to do landscapes at times with a 3 and 4 yr old, but I try to mix work and family in together as the kids love it and my son is an avid photographer - his compositions are outstanding. He shot the Long Reef pic in my portfolio. He now has his own Panasonic Lumix which is waterproof, shockproof and snowproof, so that might last him a bit longer than the previous Canon.
