    cameosteph says:

"Leafy is groovey in every way imaginable.. He has shown over and over that DSLR's are over rated and a point and shoot works perfectly in the right photographers hands. Leafy has become the iconic master of fabulous nature photography with his P&S. Rock on Leafy!!

    hemoglobinhummingbird says:

"I first found leafy's photos because an acquaintance was demanding of everyone to know how it was possible to get a shot like that -- so crisp, so rich. I came for the very close, intimate portraits of tiny things that pass unnoticed and stayed for the compassionate eye for a changing landscape. leafy has a big, warm heart and you can see his affection for his city and his friends in his photos."

    Hryck. says:

"I'll be the first to admit to not being a fan of the run of the mill nature photography. John's photography is an easy exception to this rule, as his work brings style and vigor into subjects that I probably never would've considered. His documentation of the evolution of Nine Mile Run is something that needs to be seen. Do yourself a favor, and check out his work."
