She's one of those people who quietly, behind the scenes, is always there, reliably, whose kind and thoughtful nature help transform flickr from a robotic image dump to a living and breathing community that I'm happy to be a part of.   "I enjoy these pictures.
  
  They are playful and sunny. Even the un-sunny ones smile a little.
  
  I like them because Lavive doesn't seem to be trying and so they seem somehow fresh. Even the ones where she is clearly trying have this quality to them.
  
  I have never been to the Canary Islands although I have seen them on the telly. Lavive's version is different from the one I had in my mind's eye and this is another reason that I like these pictures.
  
  I think that these are pictures taken by someone who has a healthy relationship with life. Who has friends and family that she cares for. A young woman who feels safe. I am pleased to engage with her gentle, safe, sunny disposition.
