I'm older than thirty and younger than a hundred. I write books. I paint pictures. I take photos. I drive to Boston and walk the streets with my camera. I go to Bon Jovi concerts. Sometimes I combine these activities.

On a more serious note, I've always taken photos...got my first camera, a Polaroid Swinger, at age 13. Since then, I've never gone long without a camera. Bought my first digital in the spring of 2004, and I never looked back. But I was just playing, and it wasn't until recently, at the ripe old age of 55, that I decided it was time to actually learn how to do photography properly. I was totally clueless about all those buttons and dials. Most of my images now are being taken with my Rebel XS, my first DSLR. I'm still very much in student mode, and loving every moment of this new (or reawakened) obsess...er, passion!
