I've always loved photography, but was too chicken and too cheap (mistakes with film cost too much money!) to take my camera off auto until last year when my hubby bought me a Nikon D60 for a combination MothersDay/Birthday/Anniversary present. Since then I've become obsessed with learning all I can about photography, starting with nature and landscapes - because flowers and mountains tend to stay still while you figure out the exposure! Added sports along the way so that I could take pictures of my kids and their various activities. Now my new challenge is portraits, which I've put off til last because people aren't as tolerant as mountains!
