I worked in public radio for 15 years in just about every role - on-air, producer, director, operations, program director, general manager. Did a 360 in 2008 to see if I could learn/hone the journalism thing more effectively. Which might sound weird because I work for the United Methodist Church in communications now.

I think there needs to be gutsy journalism on the religion beat now more than ever given the rise of fundamentalism and its impact on our global society.
