I grew up in Medford, just outside of Boston and currently live in Saugus, Massachusetts. I am an avid fan of the American roadside with a special interest in Diners. I have photographed just over 820 diners since November 27,1980 and keep a log (originally handwritten, now a database).

The database tells me when I originally found a particular diner and documented it, (noting date, street address, manufacturer of the diner, etc.). Also in each entry field, I have noted location of images for each diner, (whether 35mm slide storage and negative file).

I have been a member of the Society for Commercial Archeology (SCA) since 1981. I recently retired my Diner Hotline column from the SCA's Journal magazine after 19 years and have started a weblog to continue where the column left off. The address is below.
