Born and raised in Kentucky but now a resident of Louisiana and have lived in the New Orleans area for 32 years. I am a geologist and work in Harahan.

Hobbies: Photography, hunting, fishing, running, hiking, camping, rock collecting.

I started with flickr on March 19th, 2008. I have met many new friends on flickr and expect to meet many more! A "Thanks" goes to all my Flickr friends for their views, comments, invites and testimonials!!! I do appreciate it very much all are important to me!

"A while ago I had this Orangutan thumbnail show up on my photo stream dishing out kind words of encouragement.
I figured this is not going to last for long as I really didn’t know Larry that well and as time progressed I got to know one of the nicest people on flickr who is true, honest, and somebody you can invariably count on for decency, and correctness, which is incredible because like I said before “we are all handicapped by working through the computer screen”.
Larry’s work is pretty fantastic and I am not new. Tremendous photo skills matched with color understanding and camera knowledge is an obvious observation when you view his pictures ..Today he blew my mind as he put up a photo of the Rosette Spoonbill shot with my friend Gary …..Envious is putting it mildly ………...aside from shooting a bird I have never even seen before and one which I do have to capture one day ………it was done so remarkably well……..I then looked with more detail at Larry’s work and I guess I have overlooked so much, as I was astonished at what a pro he actually is ……..Larry thank you for all your kind comments and backing, and its time I returned the favor by stating you are an incredible friend on flickr to me, and that you photography represents a greatness of understanding and merit …………your work is just beautifully done and I’m glad we met and I’m fortunate to have you as one of my 100 “flickr friends”…..all in all wonderful work and thanks for always being there with an encouraging compliment …….its always appreciated …Glad we are friends and jealous of where you reside lolololololo………Howard"
