  The Beemouse Institute for Advanced Study is proud to announce that Lara Schneider of Seattle, Washington, has been awarded the 2009 Unbinilium Prize in Photography. The Unbinilium Prize is awarded to individuals who have made a significant contributamilium to the awesomeness of things, and that is why the prize is named after the element unbinilium, which, like Lara's creativity, is a member of the alkaline earth-metals, and a hypothetical island of stability.
  
  Schneider is known for her formidable artistic spirit, a big heart, an appreciation for the ridiculous, and a fine understanding of fart jokes. After studying her prolific photographic work, one can not help but come away with a finer sense of the fragile interrelatedness of all things. According to N.D. Weedfluid, "In addition to using her keen artistic eye to show us how beings and objects are unique, Lara has done much to inspire an understanding of how these same beings are similar. Specifically, she has worked to promote understanding between cats and humans, most notably between the online communities of ginger tabbies and their human companions. Ginger tabbies worldwide are in debt to her."
  
  Schneider has received multiple commendations from the Beemouse Institute in the past for her photojournalistic coverage of cupcakes, hoyas, community music events, appetizing lunches, and cutietime fussy babyfaces."
