Land's Sake's photostream

Land's Sake is a private, nonprofit corporation dedicated to responsible stewardship of suburban farmland and forests. By combining ecologically sound land management with hands-on environmental education, we provide a powerful model of how public open space can be effectively used and enjoyed by the community. We do this primarily through farming, forestry and educational activities.

Our mission is to connect people to the land. As we bring people onto the land as visitors to our farm, volunteers, youth workers, and through our hands-on educational programs, people are directly connected to their local ecology.

Our work shows the importance of treating the land with respect. We believe that productively working the land in a responsible, ecological manner is a crucial way to demonstrate sustainability making for a healthier, happier, and safer world.
