I'm Christopher P. McDill. A visual and recording artist. My creative work explores different methods of appropriation and recontextualization, like mixed media, assemblage, cut-up and aleatory processes. Since 2003 I've been making sound art, applying some of those same concepts (I have recorded over 40 albums, and many more are planned).

I have a hand in numerous recording projects, all on Webbed Hand Records: Saluki Regicide, Djinnestan, Akashic Crow's Nest, Tree Helicopter, Rolling Calf Sinfonette and Rowboat Magicians. I am also curator of a popular ambient project called Rain, which involves CD-length mood pieces recorded by a growing number of artists.

The independent record label Webbed Hand Records started early in '03 as a home for my own work, and has since expanded to include work by many other artists, both new and well-established.
