Travel Addict in unbearable stages of withdrawal. Girlie-Girl. Unrepentant Foodie. People watcher. Soul Searcher. Guzzler of Diet Coke and champagne. Loyal, intuitive friend. Spaniard/Brazilian by birth, and American by choice. Animal lover who has dismally failed every attempt so far to become a vegetarian. And let's not forget collector of expensive handbags, shoes, and husbands.
I am also an amateur photog with adequate equipment and no training but a decent "eye" for composition (at least I got that going for me), mainly using a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT and, more recently, my fierce new Canon 50D. I have yet to read the owner's manual, though--so I compensate my lack of technical knowledge by using software editing programs to correct light and color when necessary...although lately I've been playing more and more with texture overlays, diptych/mosaics, and other digital effects. I use Picnik to edit and I ain't ashamed to admit it.
