I'm currently a stay-at-home mommy to a beautiful baby boy, Zane. My flickr photos started as a way to post pictures of him for friends and family, but is starting to turn into a bit of an obsession!

I'm sad to say that I never took any photography classes either in high school or college, so I'm learning as I go with help from people I meet along the way and lots and lots of reading and trial and error.

If you're viewing my profile because I recently added you as a contact, it's in all likelyhood because I thought your photos were beautiful, clever and something I aspire to achieve someday.

In my past life, I worked as a Virologist and a Forensic DNA Analyst. Neither of these jobs transition well to 'at home' or 'freelance' work, so I'm hoping that one day I might be able to make a little income with photography.

UPDATE: as of August 11, I'm officially back in the workforce! I will be picking up where I left off as a Forensic Scientist. It's fun to be able to say that again and I'm looking forward to it.
