Giovanni aka Kroppslotion is from a beautiful Mediterranean island but looks like an English lad. He graduated in Foreign Languages for Linguistic Mediation in 2009 (now specializing in Anthropology) and had been taking pictures since the age of thirteen, when his parents gave him a Polaroid camera as a present.
The origin of his name is kinda interesting. Kroppslotion was a cheap body lotion which should help dry skin to retain moisture and softness. Giovanni bought it for £ 1.94 years ago: the shape of its bottle and its gentle perfume really impressed him. Unfortunately, after applying it, he turned into a Twister plastic mat, full of red circles. It was a funny trauma - that beauty cream was not so cheap after all: his dermatologist's medical examine fee was £ 70. Anyway, as a linguist, he liked the sound and the pronunciation of that funny Swedish word very much. So ‘kroppslotion’ is worth every single penny he spent.

Some info about Kroppslotion's works (just a few lines, to make the story short):

Kroppslotion is well known for his Hybridisering set: he considers himself a creature who combines heads of more than one ‘real’ specie. A hybrid is a combination of two or more different things, after all. He can be a geisha, a teddy bear or a Pharaoh without losing his identity - the body is still the same: Kamen, Kommer, Kvitt, Groda, Simning and so on are the nucleobases of his DNA. It all started when he was in Stockholm, in 2009. It was a very cold evening and he decided to go for a walk. He saw his own imagine reflected in a shop window: he realized that a mannequin's head had taken his head's place. That really impressed him: he suddenly took a picture of it and created his very first Hybridisering photo. Those pictures tell more about him than he wants most people to know even if he admits they could be a little bit cryptic, just like a Montale’s poem.

For this reason, in 2010 he ran two parallel projects at the same time - Porträtt and Röd soffa - where he tries to be as clear as possible. However his settings - the big white wall or the red sofa - are often realer than the subject: Giovanni likes being ghostly; he almost disappears or creates doubles of himself. Not so ordinary, indeed. But so Kroppslotion.
