I always liked to draw as a child, I had some ideas about getting better at it and being an artist. After many years of terrible drawings I realised that it wasn't for me. Using a camera allows me to try and capture what my minds eye is screaming at me that I cannot convey with a pencil and paper.

My only digital camera is a rather tired Canon EOS 400D, it has a kit lens, a 50mm and a 35mm, the latter being my favourite. I have far too many film cameras, mostly 35mm and some 120. These days I mostly shoot 35mm film.

In September 2011 I exhibited some of my work for the first time at the Slackspace gallery in Colchester as part of their Exposure 37 event, I hope to get my work out there more in the coming months. Exhibiting is a brave new world to me but one I'd like to explore further.
