Thanks for dropping by, and being interested enough in me to read my profile. For this reason, I've decided to flesh it out a bit with some information about me.

I trained as a Graphic Designer and also a little 'photo documentary' as part of my degree studies. Before then, I had got the idea in to my head that Graphic Design was a highly paid profession, I always felt I would be rich, so chose to pursue it, in favour of a Music Teacher who tried to encourage me to take music.

Unfortunately at that time it was impossible to take both Music and Art at school. So I chose Art and spent the next 4 years painting and filling my head with 'physics', I say filling my head, but that would be like filling a sink without the plug in. (One of those moments in life where my fate has been driven by rules which play against me)

To cut a long story short, I started working in advertising and worked my way up to Design Director, with a specialism in Corporate Design. At times I loved working in Advertising, mostly due to the association with the people who worked advertising with me, all the weirdos :)

But recently, I decided to follow one of my dreams, which had always been to be a Photographer, hopefully in a fashion related area, as fashion has always been a love of mine. (sometimes I felt more embarrassed to buy vogue than to buy 'adult literature' (visions of me sitting on a bus reading vogue, covering the magazine with 'big tits monthly' perhaps)

So, currently I am doing just that. It's not easy, but I guess all dreams take a period of upheaval to realise. I'm living more like an artist now, than the lifestyle I was accustomed to as an senior advertising creative. But I am hopeful that my time will come for my ambitions, and I am developing confidence in myself as an artist and specifically as a photographer. Thanks in a large part to the feedback I receive here, on flickr.

Recently I began to be represented by one photo agency, but nothing commercial is yet to arise. I am also looking for creative opportunities, whatever they may be.... Agents, publishers, exhibitors, art buyers, commercial sponsorship.

It has taken me a long time to realise what I really desire, and to also learn to express those with confidence and reassurance, without being embarrassed how that will be perceived. I want to be the best that I can be, and perhaps even better than that. And I hope to bring my 'art' to the public domain.

My first fashion story was shot last week, and will be published 'on-line' in the next couple of days, and I have to say, I'm feeling rather pleased with myself :)
