I started showing interest in photography February 2008 by buying a cheap digital camera and noticing that I want to achieve much more, than this cam could offer. So I saved some money to get me a Fujifilm Finepix S8000fd, that had a little more options for manual adjustments.
Unfortunately, or fortunately (depends on your point of view) I found out after a while, that even this cam’s results didn’t satisfy me anymore, but I simply couldn’t afford a DSLR.
At this point my Dad stepped in (God bless him) and offered me his Canon EOS 400D, including the kit lens and the Sigma 70-300mm for use until I could get my own equipment. I am very grateful for his generous offer and since then I was trying to find out which niche of photography gave me the most pleasure.
I started to notice my growing interest in landscape and macro photography and that’s what I do now. Or at least TRY to do now.
Considering myself still a beginner, I make all the mistakes of one, improving myself by “learning by doing”, looking up articles on the web I might find helpful and exchange experiences with other photographers on flickr. There are so many great photographers out there and there’s still so much to learn for me!
