Photography is whatever you want it to be, but:

1. It does not have to be sharp to be a good photograph.
2. Because an image is sharp does not mean that it is a good photograph.
3. If you are happy with your image, it is good enough.

We only post low resolution images to Flickr, always have, always will. It's the only way we've found to stop the SOB's from stealing them.

We don't select what we post to Flickr according to any percieved quality, rather we try to show a selection of images which show what was where and at what time. this is the basic ethos of our group - Places to Watch Wildlife, and of one of our Blogs - details below.....

I usually post a bunch of images to Flickr at a time, when I do so, I always post what I consider to be the least interesting first - OK, so I get less comments and views, but at least I know that those lovely people who look deeper have made a conscious effort to do so..... And we appreciate it :-)

I really love to read intelligent comments, comments made with reference to the quality, or lack thereof, of our images and not made just because we are contacts, or have met etc.....Comment on what you see by all means, or with reference to the subjects of our images, converse with us if you wish.....that can be quite entertaining :-)

We've been using Flickr for 6 years give or take, and there are only so many "great shot" comments one can read without switching off entirely.

Please do not post cut and paste comments to our images: These are usually nothing more than an advertisement for a group and we delete them.

Do not Fav our images unless you make a comment in your own words - this is just plain bad manners, and we will block you to remove the fav - block will then be removed.

Lots of people have asked recently where our images have gone - short answer is: We have hundreds of thousands of images in our collection - we therefore remove and replace often.......

We only accept admin group invites.....
