KNOM is a non-profit radio station located in Nome, Alaska, just south of the Arctic Circle.
We broadcast at 96.1 FM and 780 AM and can be heard throughout the villages and rural stretches of the Alaskan Bush.
At heart, we're a community radio station; we broadcast a wide variety of music, weather, local and regional announcements, and news - including full coverage of Western Alaska snowmachine (or snowmobile) and sled-dog races, such as the world-famous Iditarod.
We're the oldest Catholic radio station in the United States, and we're supported almost entirely through private donations.

We are KNOM: Yours for Western Alaska.
