I'm a machine-knit-aholic, and I have well over a dozen knitting machines and love to design for them. We now have 33 ebooks/epatterns available in Soft Knit, DAK Designs, Instructional eBooks, Stitch 'n Starch and Machine Knitting Techniques. Many more are 'in the works'.

Married for 40 years to the MOST understanding hubby in the world, we have 3 children and 11 grandchildren who keep us young, active and often exhausted.

I love to create new and unusual designs for my knitting such as my Stitch 'n Starch line of baskets, flowers and butterflies. They're my signature line and I've been making them with my knitting machines for 35+ years.

Stitch 'n' Starch began as a journey through history. Through great foresight of my grandmother, great aunts and my mom, numerous Victorian and Edwardian hand crafted items were passed down to me. The Victorian home held a plethora of knitted, embroidered, crocheted, tatted, woven ... well, all sorts of needlecrafted item. And most were on prominent display.

My grandmother and great aunts did a lot of starching and I am fortunate enough to have their original patterns in that elegant, spidery handwriting of the day.

We have attempted to design memories of those very same bygone eras and bring them into the world of modern day machine knitting. Not only do I market the finished crafted items, but also the patterns so other machine knitters can produce these elegant item.

I'm into Craft Fairs, several online forums for crafting, hand knitting, machine knitting and marketing my lines of merchandise. Now I've joined Etsy and am having a wonderful time creating such great friendships with fellow Etsians!! My main website is the mainstay of my online selling and is visited well over 30,000 times each month by avid machine knitters and crafters.
