  " Derrick is an amazing photographer , his marco work is out standing. He does not just take a picture he composes like an artist . He has his own unique style, He is very creative with the equipment and lenses he works. He calls it something like "the poor mans macro" where he uses a reverse lens. I'm still not sure how this works , even though he has tried to explain it to me. He also does some beautiful editing
  and creates atmosphere and mood by working with color in his pictures. He is extremely modest and always looking to learn and grow.

  "It's about time I write some words of appreciation for Derrick. He wrote me my first testimonial some time ago and has shown to be one of my dearist flickr friends ever since.
  
  Derrick was at some point wondering why I took the trouble of visiting his stream. Well, it should be obvious to him by now: Derrick is a fabulous photographer who makes the greatest macro shots. He gets lots of visitors and comments, which should tell him that he pleases the eyes of many. Also he started to grow an impressive stack of explored photos.
  
  But what is best of all; Derrick created a style of his own. I can clearly see him grow as an artist. The edits he does are very appealing and recognisable and I can see him giving a lot of attention to bringing out a good photo, instead of just getting a sharp shot of some bug or flower. He has the final picture in mind while pressing the release. And he does it all with his "poor mans macro" reversed lens method.
  
  I love his style and his works of art. I would say Derrick's the man!"
