I have always been a photo person, but my interest in photography as a hobby started with trying to capture my nieces' expressions and memories of some of the beautiful places I have visited. I got my first digital camera late 2006 - the Canon Powershot A710 IS and it has become my constant companion. Being an engineer by profession, I am in the habit of looking for symmetry and am forcing myself to "see outside the box" and have uploaded some of my attempts. Feel free to comment on these images as constructive criticism will help me learn and of course compliments are always welcome :)
My main interests are: macro and portraits, with some landscape.
UPDATE JUNE 30th, 2008
So, I finally took the plunge and bought a DSLR camera (Canon Rebel XTi) about a month ago and have been enjoying it immensely. I also got the Canon 50mm/1.8 and 17-85mm IS lenses. I have just uploaded some recent pics as I get the hang of it and get used to the immense flexibility and range this camera offers.
