Me? I'm a photographer, a mom, a wife and a communications consultant. I'm the photo editor for www.100wordstory.org. I've worked a billion jobs ... as a dishwasher, for a florist, as a caterer, in the restoration department of a library, in an ice cream parlor, as a portrait photographer, in a breakfast cafe, an internet start-up, a design studio, a fortune 500 company ... I like to work.
I've been taking pictures with Nikon cameras since I was a kid. I still have my first camera, a Nikkormat hand-me-down from my grandfather that weighs more than my dog. Aside from a brief stint with a Yashikamat, a quick flirtation with a Canon Powershot, a couple of dusty Polaroid cameras waiting for The Impossible Project and a little iPhone obsession, I love my Nikons.
I love taking pictures of people. Portraits. Especially kids. But I find stills and landscapes, nature and food much more challenging. So I am trying to do more of that here. Love natural light and my 50mm 1.4. Don't use Photoshop or Lightroom. I feel like I have so much work to do learning how to shoot ... post-processing just seems daunting. Someday though.
I'm really enjoying the Flickr community, but if you *fave* my images and don't have anything available for me to see, I will block you.
